Float Plane Transfers
Departing from the beach directly in front of Toka Ridge, experience the thrill of a float plane take off before climbing above Mokoia Island on track to the volcanic peaks of Mount Tarawera. Above Tarawera, views of cavernous craters reveal the power of what was the largest eruption in New Zealand’s living memory. This just one of the many great adventures offered.

It’s an amazing modern affordable lodge that is perfect for large groups. There is contactless check in, which is always appreciated. The places was very clean and furnished with kitchen essentials. The hot tub is shared but wasn’t an issue. It can be a little hard to see the turn in when yah come but you eventually figure it out. I would stay here again if I ever came back.

Unreal value. I’ve stayed some nice places but this is something else. I booked the Toka experience and took my partner out on a float plane straight from the gorgeous private beach. The hot spa afterwards solidified this as one of the best getaways I’ve ever had. Stayed in the one bedroom which had a cosy ensuite and very spacious living area. Everything like the heating, remotes and tv worked perfectly and everything was so intuitively arranged that it felt like home.

Beautiful lakeside location and views. Fully equipped kitchen. Easy to switch on gas fire place!!! Great lounge, kitchen and study areas. Comfortable bed. Easy arrival and departure. Beautifully appointed.

Fantastic property which was well presented and tastefully decorated to make it feel like a home away from home. Liam was great to deal with and attentive. This is a great holiday spot not to be missed and certainly worth visiting regardless of the occasion. If you haven’t booked already you should snap to it. My partner and I enjoyed the one night here and definitely need to come back for longer. Toka Ridge is a solid 5 plus stars and then some.
